One of Pasadena’s six cannabis retail finalists is discovering that getting the city’s approval for opening a store is just as difficult as a attaining a license to sell. Recently, Pasadena’s Board of Zoning Appeals axed an appeal by SweetFlower Pasadena LLC’s attempt to open a store near the intersection of Lake and Colorado. The Board voted to reject the appeal because the company submitted an incomplete application, failing to include a mapping report prepared by a licensed surveyor. The remaining complete applications will be processed and reviewed, with the successful continuing on through the extensive cannabis process.
