Recreational marijuana use is legal in Michigan. Those who have been using the drug for medicinal reasons say they’re pleased others can now reap the benefits. WWJ health reporter Dr. Deanna Lites was in a medical marijuana provisioning center. It’s business as usual at BotaniQ Detroit, a medical marijuana dispensary where customers peruse a menu of offerings to help sooth their aches and pains and sales people called bud-tenders answer questions and offer advice. While recreational marijuana use is legal in Michigan — only those with a medical card can purchase it in retail facilities. However if you’re 21 or older you can grow up to 12 plants in your home for your own use. You can also give the gift of pot to your friends, as long as no money is exchanged.
